With a message of truth and well-earned stripes from beating the odds, Michigan recording artist Twoz has a compelling story to tell through a calm demeanor and thought-provoking rhymes. Born in Adrian, MI and raised in Grand Blanc, on the outskirts of Flint, MI, he faced two huge battles early in life, having to overcome a severe stuttering disorder and almost losing his life to carbon monoxide poisoning. Instead of letting his adversities stop him, Twoz became motivated and determined to pursue his dreams.

Growing up listening to all kinds of music, particularly Hip-Hop, one of his biggest influences was Notorious B.I.G who he related to on a personal level. Like Twoz, the late-great rapper took what people perceived as negative and made it positive. In 2003, the budding artist started honing his craft as an emcee, and by 2009, Twoz was serious about pursuing a career as an independent music artist. He hit the local scene in Flint and surrounding areas, participating in rap battles and cyphers as well as rocking stages and streaming his music online.

His laid-back demeanor and well-crafted lyricism caught the ear of multiple music companies including Young Mogul Entertainment and Mach 1 Music. He released his 2009 debut mixtape, The Moment of Truth, followed by his 2015 EP, Cinematic Sound: The Screenplay, and his 2021 follow up, Cinematic Sound 2: My Time... Not Yours!! that were well-received online and on the local front.

Between the projects, Twoz released a slew of exclusive singles, garnering more attention and expanding his artistry. He’s currently working on an upcoming project with the same drive he formed as a child having to fight for his voice and his life. That same spirit is found in his music as he spreads the message of never giving up because anything is possible and any goal can be accomplished.
